For July 14th (french national day), the bay of Cannes is illuminated with a fireworks fire as part of the Festival of Fireworks!
Since 1967, the Bay of Cannes has become during the summer the meeting place of the greatest masters in the world, and hundreds of thousands of amazed spectators.
The Pyrotechnic Art Festival of Cannes was initiated by the company Ruggieri and the city of Cannes in the form of an international competition: every year is awarded the Vestale d’Argent, and every four years the Vestale d’Or .
The public also gives a prize, and the jury a Special Prize.
The lights are fired from barges off Cannes, they are accompanied by a soundtrack, and are inspired by a free theme. Each show has a minimum duration of 25 minutes.
This year’s program includes six pyrotechnic shows between July 14th and August 24th. The companies come from the Philippines, Argentina, Finland, France.
